Thread: Post Times When You Should Have Easily Became Lucid!

Isn't there a missed dreamsign thread for this?

Well anyway, before I woke up today I had a vivid dream that the postman came to the door. He had a massive heavy bag of letters with him and asked me if he could hide it somewhere outside. I asked him if he was walking the round today (which wouldn't make sense anyway) and said yeah of course: hide it in the garage. He preferred to 'hide' it outside where it wasn't as hidden. As he was leaving my dad pulled up in a strange car. I realised he'd left all our letters on the grass with some random ones as well. I had loads too.

I was riding on a bike at dark, and I came across this twirly thing, with a ladder in the middle going down to somewhere. I said to myself "Hey, I've had this in a dream before" but I didn't go lucid lol.

I had a reoccuring dream where there was a car crash (I was outside the car watching), and then an explosion. Fragments of the car would land on top of me giving me the feeling of not being able to move or breathe. Eventually, way b4 I knew about LDing, I was talking about it with friends who suggested I take out a gun and shoot the driver before he caused the crash. the next time I had the dream i did just that. I never had the "paralyzing" dream again for years - until last night . . . . .

I guess it had been so long that I just went back to my old panicking. I knew I was dreaming and tried to wake up but I wasn't really fully lucid either. Can't beleive I didn't catch that, especially since that reocurring dream is the first time I really remember becoming lucid.

I was in a car with my family and we were driving down a foresty road and then my mum said "you are dreaming" and I did a reality check by putting my finger through my hand and it worked but I just didn't believe it.
Bit annoying but hey what you going to do

I was once dreaming when I suddenly burst out, "hey, I'm dreaming!" but I hadn't actually realised that I was dreaming. I was only dreaming that i'd realised that I was dreaming, but I hadn't really.

...If that makes sense?

I had one where this short irish/scottish (Not all stereotype like) guy with a voice box scared me by telling it's like his dream for gun tech to improve so he could kill me better. I jumped back down to the ground on my back and he was laughing along with my brother (in the dream) and I quickly realized he was kidding, but I woke up. Normally when I think of or hear the word dream, it gets me thinking about LDs.

I once dreamed that an aquaintence of mine had stolen my dream journal and was going to read it. I became extremely upset and even broke his glasses. Yet I didn't even think about checking if I was dreaming.

I laughted out loud when I woke up after a dream where I:

was sitting in a boat approaching the harbor when I saw this huge water whirl that caused the boat to spinn insanely out of control. Everyone onboard was screaming and I thought... "hey this is a perfect time to pinch my nose and do a RC. It's an unusual situation that might help remind me to do an RC the next time I'm having an odd dream."

Even though the situation was completely bizarre it never struck me that I WAS indeed dreaming at the time

When I said to a DC "I've had this dream before" She said "Hey! So have I"...

No I didn't go lucid ... ugh

I had a dream where I was just sitting down on the couch, contemplating whether I was dreaming. Then, suddenly my parents appear in front of me and said "You're not dreaming" (synchronized...).

And to make it even weirder, my parents never speak English to me at home.

I woke up pretty angry

These are all really funny. Keep em coming! I had one dream where I was doing my grade 7 piano exam again, and the examiner was a terrorist named Amad Mouline (from SOCOM for psp).

I had a dream where I was dreaming of having a lucid dream. It was a normal lucid dream but without my normal memory or anything. The only things that I would remember were the memories of my 1st dream state. It was really confusing, but thats the best way to put it.

It was mind numbing.

Well, I was going to get my driving permit (( in my dream )) and the lady that handed me my permit stated, "you are dreaming" And I ignored it and got my permit and took a drive..ggrrrrr!!!! That made me so mad, lol

Once, I was in the middle of a dream that included me and a friend of mine, who were talking. I looked around, laughed and told him that I was dreaming about him, at that point. I didn't become lucid. I just laughed it off, and missed the whole damned clue.
