From which position do you WILD

The only time I've been able to WILD, I was lying on my stomach.
Last night, I was just seconds away from WILDing a second time, it was so cool, I was entering imagery where I was waterskiing, but instead of skiing on water, I was flying a couple of inches above.

Anyway, I was lying on my right side this time.

I've noticed that I absolutely cannot relax enough lying on my back to WILD.

How do you more successful WILDers lay?

I lay on my back with my knees up and my hands behind my head. Some times I may lay on my stomach with my hands under my pillow.

I heard from my psch. of esteem class that when you're tired, you want to lay on your right side because your left side of your brain is shuting down or maybe its the other way around, I don't remember, I took that class three years ago.

If I try to enter WILD directly from being awake, I lay on my side. Dont really remember which side which side tho..
I cant fall asleep on my back.

When I enter WILD from visualization, there is no difference between positions..

That is funny you say that because that has been the only way I have been successful is while lying on my back. The problem!!!!! For some %^@##!*! reason both of my arms & hands fall asleep.

I believe that the position varies between people. I often find myself on my back, not because it comfortable but the oppisite its uncomfortable, it helps me stay conscious. I think i might try laying on my stomac this time around

I believe there may be a slight variation towards the individuals. But Mine usually always happen from my back also. Once every blue moon I can WILD from my side.

ACK! the only times i've gotten close is on my right side/kinda on my back.

I think it comes down to WHATEVER makes the person doing the WILD, More comfortable...its all about relaxation.

I'm always lying on my back regardless of my intention of dreaming lucid, doing WILD or just going to sleep. It's kind of a miracle to me how people can be comfortable lying on one side. However lying on my back is also not very comfortable if I don't have anything to support my head, because I don't like it if I'm lying to flat, that is unrelaxing. So I put two big pillows under the mattress and the whole position is much better. Perhaps that way you can relax better Seeker!

Chalk one up to left side. So that is now right, left, stomach, but still no back!

I'm on my back generally - when I've succeeded so far. I've tried all positions and will keep trying them!

      Postures for Dreaming

There are many postures one can use for dreaming:

The Tibetian Dream yoga tradition states that males should lie on their Right side and Females the left. The knees should be together and slightly bent. The hand toward the bed should be under the cheak or under the pillow under your cheak. The arm on the side away from the bed should be comfortably resting parallel to your body.

I have found from personal experience the best position is on the back with the pillow positioned so the head is tilted slightly back. This allows the air passage to be in it's most open state. The legs are togeher with the arms naturally at the side.

A slightly different variation on this position is to lay on the back with the right leg flat on the bed, but bent at a 90 degree angle.

I would experiment with various positions and find out what works best for you.
