First of you're extremly lucky. Few people can dream chain. |
|
Lately i have been waking up after every dream period which i have been trying to do!! (:-) yay) but when i go back to sleep i always seem to re-enter the last dream i was having, even if i awake 3-4 times after each section of the dream i always enter back where i left off. Does anyone else experience this dream chaining effect? |

I dream chain a lot, though mine are non-lucid. I can't recall any lucid dream chains... |

You could try getting in a mind-set so that when you go back to sleep you intentionally focus on the last dream you have had, and assosciate it with being Lucid. Tell yourself that as soon as you're in that situation, that you'll suddenly become very aware of your surroundings, and will discover you're actually asleep, could be a very helpful way to induce LDs. |

Interestingly enough this kind of phenomena is what caused me to research dreams and eventually led me here. Prior to this site I had only had one lucid dream my entire life(and really didn't know it was anything special). Then one night about two months ago I had a really interesting experience. I had a (non lucid) dream. Then I woke up. I went back to sleep and my dream continued. Then I woke up. I woke up and went to sleep, continuing the same dream like 5 times. One of the times I was awake I even got out of bed and ate a snack and it STILL picked up when I went back to sleep. When I finally woke up for good I was really interested in what had happened and began reading about dreams. Eventually that led me here. (A place that I am happy to be, I assure you |

Thx guys im glad some ppl experience this as well because it is a great feeling to be able to continue your dream on and on no matter if you awake! |
|
yeah, you're really lucky. I have dream-chained a few times non-lucidly, but not like you. You really should MILD, it could get you lucid. |

Thx i think it is plain to see that you think MILD is my best action technique, so i will try it next time i chain it happens alot maybe 3 - 4 nights a week its cool because when i awake and think i wanted to see what happened next in the dream i can just go back to sleep :-) |

I read this post and it got me thinking, not in the same night but, have any of you continued your dream from maybe the night before? Maybe you were talking to a DC and it ended, and you thought about that as you fell asleep the next night and re-entered there, but not really anew. As if no time had passed, the DC was still speaking, and maybe (if he answered legibly) you could ask him about it and he may "remember" everything from the previous night, even though it was, kind of seconds to him. Sort of like "saving" your dream |

Pacman = Win.
I tried to do that once. I tried to continue a non-lucid dream the next night. I managed to restore the setting but not the people. Also arriving at the location from the night before caused me to become lucid, but I still couldn't completely restore it. I posted about this once before somewhere I think. |

All my dream chains happen in the same night or morning, never once on one night then continued the next night sorry maybe ill give it a try 2nite. |
|
I've had dreams where they were harsh situations and I woke up. At that point I decided to go into the dream "that just woke me up" to deal with the situation. I would WILD back into the dream (Lucid) and took on the situation. All I did during the WILD was to just keep picturing the scene I just left and I entered where I left off. I feel chaining is an advanced skill and I feel lucky when I'm able to do it when I do! |
|
Im glad to see you also have experienced the chaining effect like i said in an upper reply it is like being able to pause a film then watch it the next night where you left off. Maybe ill post a few tips as to how ppl can try to learn to chain themselves im not an expert in the matter but ill give all the help i can! |

Going in to the same dream is one sure way I get lucid. I wish it would happen more often. |
