What i have noticed even with myself is the following:

Once you do spend all of the energy on becoming lucid so it 'transfers' (that state of mind) to your dreams - in a habit sort of ways .......

(one of the only habits i really like because it actually contradicts what is really a habit - which is why we don't have lucid dreams in the first place, anyway...)

....and you actually do have a lucid dream - you aren't lucid enough in the sense that you don't even remember what you name is what state you live in while lucid in a dream...one of the problems is loosing lucidity because you don't know what to do in a dream - - this is one of the things i have to use because it also works on people who have been through a dryspell w/lucid dreams like i am now ---

you don't remember/know what to do in a lucid dream, so here is an excellent and very effective technique - at least for me - so what i do is:

Once you realize that you are definately not in a dream with your RCs - and also see my other post which basically says that i've realized that the only time you ever really doubt whether you are dreaming or awake is when you are dreaming - only in a dream could you doubt this, awake you'd - for the most part - not get confused...and another tip that works for your RCs - do not make them become a passive lucidity - explained in the next response......

once you realize after your RCs that you are awake, say to yourself " I know i am awake right now, but if i were dreaming right now, what would i do?" have at least 3-5 things (in a list or not) but do it - RCs - in different situations so your different dream situations will give you practice this way....

i hope this will also make it a habit that this will transfer into dream habits - even if you believe with your RCs in a dream that you are mistakenly awake...
