I can't take entire credit for this one, another member (kastro187420) came up with it in a way, but I have revised it a bit.

After reading Stephen Laberge's Book "Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming" and his ideas that dreams are made up of our Expectations, and reading Kastro's post "FILD", it made me come up with this one:

If when we are dreaming, our dreams are created by what we expect to happen, then the solution is simple: Learn to Expect Lucidity in a dream. Easier said than done. But thats where my idea comes in.

During the day as you walk around and are going about your usual, expect to see something that is going to tell you what your experiancing is a dream. Look for it, and if you can't can't find anything, then test your reality and look again. Get into the habit every day of expecting to be in a dream and to see something that will give it away. If you take it seriously, then it will follow you into your Lucid Dreams alot easier than will doing simple reality checks through the day. At some point your going to catch yourself in a dream looking for that oddity that tells you its a dream, only this time your going to find it, and become Lucid.

I'll be trying this throughout the next 2 weeks, so anyone who wants to help me with it, please post letting me know, and every couple days or so post an update letting others know your success.

Nice idea. I've been trying a similar thing lately: keeping an eye out for dreamsigns, asking myself, 'Is this normal?'. No results as yet. I suppose I haven't really been expecting to find any dreamsigns. It's the same principle with reality checks isn't it: don't assume you're awake and just go through the motions, really expect it to fail. Now I'm going to ask myself, 'Where is the dreamsign?' as if I know it's there, I just need to find it, (instead of thinking - this could be a dream) like playing 'spot the difference' in a way. Thanks.

Yeah, you really gotta expect to find one, and if even after trying you don't find one, don't just tell yourself its not a dream, just go through the rest of your day as usual and try again later. Its better to do it like that incase you have a real vivid dream that doesn't seem to have any oddities, you'll learn to just try again a little later, rather than accept its reality.

I'll post tomorrow letting you know if I have any success, or if I have any dream that seems different than usual, since today will be 1 full day of trying it.

Interesting Results last night with this experiment:

In my dream, I was walking around my house looking for something. Im not sure what it was, but in my dream I kept telling myself I was going to find it.

I didn't become Lucid, but this seems to have promising results, especially after only a day and a half of trying.

I'll give it a shot aswell. It sounds very promising, yet difficult.

However, I don't really get the point :s - should I be looking for random dream stuff, like a big clockwork in the middle of my room, expect my school to be blowen up, or what do I want to look for?

Well if you can't get used to doing it in public when you think you might be dreaming, then how are you going to do it in a dream when you suspect your dreaming?

Don't do a reality check that draws too much attention then, like pulling your thumb or plugging your nose and trying to breathe in real quick. I have a casio watch with different modes on it like calculator/telememo/etc
so what I do to reality check is scroll through these modes and it doesn't look weird at all...just a normal person checking through his watch, and it works for me - I've gotten lucid with it plenty of times. Just choose something subtle instead of jumping to fly or something like that; even checking to see if you can move objects with your mind is a pretty good reality check and no one will ever know....

      Now here is Nowhere

I woke up this morning and got into bed. Went up to the roof and swam down the chimney to the mall. They had a special on meat so I poured some into a glass and watered the milkman. Then I drew myself home and found the fish had ate the cat the cat had ate the dog and the dog had been eaten by the mailman. Then I got out of bed and went back to sleep.
