I've managed to learn something about my dream recall. If I write it down... it never goes away. But if I dont, its gone forever. Remembered my first dream in a long time, and forgot A LOT of it on my way to pick up my journal. I start successfully writing my first entry (ussually its gone before I even realize im awake). Once I write down the few details I remembered, It all came back. Now I cant forget it. Its clear as day.

Anyway, I want to try WILDing. I know how its done, and I know the steps (as I've gone through some before. Before I knew about lucid dreaming. I recognized the steps once I read about WILDing). I have a problem with WILDing though. My eyes have a habit of wanting to open up. They feel like they're opening, and then I'll start seeing through the cracks. Then I'll have to force them to stay closed, and it breaks my concentration on the WILD. If I forget about them, they open up and I have to start over. Once I go back to WILDing, even if my eyes are tightly shut, they want to open again. This is all before the imagry even starts to form.

      Any tips?

I've had this happen to me, too. The solution I found was to become aware of how my eyelids feel. As soon as you feel even the smallest inkling that they want to open, try relaxing them. Not forcing them shut, just relaxing them. For me, this usually causes a slightly heavy sensation in my eyelids. If imagery works really well for you, you could try imagining them becoming heavier, and they may relax as a reflex that way. Ideally, you can relax them before they open even the slightest bit. As a side note, I've also noticed that excessive eye movement can make my eyelids want to open. Hope this helps!

If you're tired enough, you could try keeping your eyes open. Sometimes when I have trouble falling asleep, I'll get comfortable and try to keep my eyes open, eventually they just slide closed without me really knowing it. Don't know how it would work with the WILD
      I sleep to dream.

You could make your room so dark that there's no difference between your eyes being open or closed. Or you could get a sleep mask. They keep a small amount of pressure on your eyes to keep them closed. I don't actually have a sleep mask, I just throw a pillow over my eyes if I realize I'm having trouble before a wild.

Exactly what Im talking about. And I noticed all that too. My eyes tend to get heavy if I try to relax them, and sometimes if I try "unfocusing" my vision behind my eyelids.

I've also noticed that they want to open if I move them around. I try following some peices of the hypnotic imagry and then my eyes want to open up.

      Seems we're alike in WILDing

Does that actually work? I was under the impression it had to be behind closed eyelids. Huh. I'll give it a try then.
