First of all Hi everyone I'm yehoshua.
I have been looking at these forums for about a month now and decided to get a sign up yeh uhm well anyways.

After learning about lucid dreaming and the amazing dream controll people had I was hooked. I have been keeping a dream journal for about 3 weeks now, doing RC's everyday anytime I think about it (which is alot) and taking a b complex vitamin for this time as well. My issue is my dreams are really, really eccentric. Like after I wake up everyday I think, why did I never do a RC?
For example last night I had a dream that me and my friends were driving in his suv and he drove it in the water over a waterfall and we sunk to the bottom. I tried to swim up repeatedly but the water kept pulling me back down. So He walks up to me (may I mention we can both breath and talk) and he says to me, "Lets think about this logically. We are trapped underwater and for some reason we can breathe and cant get out, we must be in hell." Now the waking mind would say "RC RC RC, what are you doing you idiot it's obviously a dream RC!" But in my mind it was totally normal.

So will I ever be able to do a RC in my dreams if the obvious is right in my face and I still don't recognize it?
I have tried wbtb and wild, and the lucidremix.mp3 and none seem to work for me.

It seems like I will never be able to obtain Lucidity?

Its good that you keep a dreamjournal and all, but even if you fail to do a RC at the most obvious situations, its about practice. I as well have failed at these. Just because this happens you shouldn't think that you CANT do an RC in a dream, everyone is like this at thestart. Its about practice and keepin the spirit up, and eventually you'll succeed.

I promis that this has happened to everyone in this forum sometime. With more practice you will be there

Lucid, my way of life.

If hell really looks like in your dream, then there's nothing to be afraid of.
But it's better not to commit too many sins, just in case...

Just give it time, some people take a month or longer to LD, you shouldn't be in doubt just because of one dream.

Stay positive and keep using your dream journal to find dream signs as well as doing RCs and you should be fine.

Remember its all worth it in the end .

In my case three and a half months. Still haven't had a lucid dream. But that might be because I'm lazy and don't do RCs. And my recall isn't very good even though I keep a dream journal. Oh well. I guess I just have to keep trying.

what you are trying is called a Dild. what helps me alot is combineing Dild with Mild mild is where you say somthing intill you go to sleep. like " i will do an rc in my dreams" say somthing like that over and over till you fall asleep and it might improve you chances. still there isnt a guarentee you will have one the first night... but with practice you are guarenteed to have one
Total lucid dreams=88

I usually try this everynight as well so I will have the chance to lucid then and after I wake up and do a WBTB.

Well I'm getting closer.

Since I started taking the B6 my dreams have seemed more vivid and now I am remembering at least 3 dreams a night.
I also think I almost had it last night. I was starting to have a normal dream turn into a nightmare and I got that really odd terror feeling and like I just thought I'm not goin to let this happen and woke myself up before it started.

Still can't make the connection its a dream though.

Youve got it lucky, trust me!
Dreams can get much weirder than that.

if you dont believe me....read my journal :/

i've had a few dreams like this and never did a reality check. example: i was flying on top of my dog with a talking alligator. i tend to do reality checks on really detailed things that i find odd.

my first lucid dream was realizing that i woke up in a different bed i had fallen asleep in. i think its because some things are just so surreal that you don't even try to find an explanation for them.
