Hi...I remember there was a technique that involved holding an object in one's hand while falling asleep or something like that. I tried it with a palm sized rubber ball and gripping it lightly until I fall asleep occasionally 'checking' if I had lost the grip, my attention was on gripping the ball the entire time. The results are that the dream is more real and there appears to be some logical analysis on my part when there are anomalies...I begin to doubt and question. Has been few nights using this technique...anyone experinced this and how it went later on? Thanks.

I remember that technique! I'll have to try tonight!

So how were you holding the ball? Was your arm relaxed on the bed?

Did you leave the light on? Because I think that technique involves looking at the object aswell.

Hi Really, there was no light and I held the ball in my right hand(works better because I'm right handed?) and my arm was fully stretched out parallel with my body in a relaxed state. I did look at the ball before bed so as to familiarise myself with the ball...LOL, trick is not to over grip the ball or U will find it a bit difficult to fall asleep. I don't really know how it works because I realised the effects by chance....my original intention/idea was to feel or see that I'm holding the ball in the dream but instead I think I brought along some residual conciousness/the logical part of the mind into the dream. It is still very minute but it was enough to make me wonder a while when anomalies happen in the dreams which I normally don't do in dreams.. . Maybe someone here could explain Y this happens?

Hi, tried it again last night with some weirdness. In one of the earlier dreams of the night I went in and out of the dream scene but was still in the dream state....all I remember was that the scene was a pale blue and at one point I was like 'jolted' into conciousness for a moment.....very strange. However in the last dream I remembered doing a double checking of something I was not sure of, unfortunately it passed off as 'normal' I was thinking that this gripping an object thing can be used to keep awake for WILD because if U grip something with some tension it might keep U awake but the rest of Ur body and arm are relaxed.

Did you ever wake up without the ball in your hand, unable to find it?

This sounds cool, I'm going to try it tonight.

Yeah it does happen sometimes but most of the time it's still in my hand I also find that the initial focusing on the grip on the ball does affect the results, if I am heavily distracted or not in the mood for it chances are it won't work .

Hi again....using the techinique last night in the second dream I had a fake LD(effect of the ball?) which was damn convincing. I had to pay money to become lucid in the dream and it felt like the real thing only that I wasn't really concious but it felt great and then the third dream was pretty long and realistic.... . I will have to make it a point to sleep early because being too tired will not work. I hope that this also works for U guys.....or at least give U a fake LD

Congrats ! Talk about WILD! Just now had an afternoon nap or 'dry run' to train my focus on the ball...guess what, I slipped into the dream without SP or HI, just "drifted" by itself and actually felt for the first time my mind shut the logical part with the feeling of light headedness(guess that's the feeling on drugs..LOL) and literally fall into the dream scene for a while and I woke up with pricklie sensation all over.....well I guess that counts for something .

      Sounds nice!

It was barely a WILD for me, I felt more aware for much longer than usual - that's all, no transition. I did it that technique next night but it felt normal. Practice I guess...
