      for best effect this should be done about five times a day and when writing in dreamjournal. this is mostly taken from classical conditioning which basically is the opposite of fraudian belife in subconcous. now a example would be a dog eating where food = saliva now if we slowly introduce a bell so bell signals food, food = saliva now repeat this and what do you get bell = saliva even if their no food. this is a uncondition responce which is the basis of all are action not fraudian belife. now this is done by association one stimulus to the next stimulus so they provide the same effect.

      now to improve lucidity all we need to do is produce a classical condition between memory, consciousness and sleep. the classical condition can be achieved by about five times a day and when you go asleep and wake up to write in dream journal by doing this. when ever you relax you bascially visualize yourself in your room awake with the room lit up bright and you are going to link three stimulus to it 1. is music you hear your favourite song e.g. beethoven ninth symphony e.t.c. 2. the feel of your body you notice how your body feels 3. imagination you imagine something familar but out of place you make it up like a firework going off. improtant thing is you do all three together and you are concious i.e. in control of your thought. now before you go to bed listen to the song for about ten minaute going through the process then stop and go to bed and carry on. the theory is to turn the stage you go to sleep a unconscious to a conscious one by classical conditioning your conscious. note if you begin to have bout of relaxation that do not normally occurs this is a good thing it mean your overwrighting your responce also try to hold out as long as you can at night if you feel tired the next day you can use it to your advantage by doing this technique whilst sleepy.

      p.s. their are lots of evidence that classical conditioning work you just need to overcome sleep/relax responce which just involve replacing relaxation with this method it might take about 2 days to feel the effect because it is a pretty strong technique. if you are interested you can try my memory palace technique by opening up door to your bedroom and exploring familiar places in your memory but dont worry about this now and just try getting good at this so it become your desired responce for sleep instead of waking up five hour later and nothing happen. dont use lazy man technique i.e. waking up 5 hours later to try WILD.

      I understand what the steps are to do this but I don't understand the effect it is suppose to have? How does it make you Lucid dream?

      it condition a responce to always keep your mind conscious when relaxing so you can do easy WILD because your sleep and relax mode will be associated with consciousness instead unconsciousness so when you going you will stay conscious.
