I find I LD the most when I just don't think about it. I've been LDing for a number of years, and this seems to be the thing that works best for me. Also, try not eating anything within an hour or two before going to bed, because digestion interrupts sleep.

Never heard that before, but it makes sense.

Then again it doesnt really make sense. I heard that it takes a full 8 hours to fully digest solid food, so it would have to be, not eating 8 hours before sleeping. But that may not be true.

I think I heard something like that before, but it was more along the lines of - eating right before bed gives you nightmares. I also heard that you have more bizarre dreams if you eat difficult to dijest foods right before going to sleep - such as cheese. If anything this would help to induce LD's, wouldn't it?

I'll try not to think about LD'ing wile trying to sleep but its hard for me not to. And I never get interrupted from digestion in my sleep and I never have. Maybe I'm just weird like that. Hmm...

When I eat something before bed- it tends to be much harder for me to fall asleep.. so I completely believe that.

I used to get up in the middle of the night, and eat slices of cheese as snacks, and I never noticed anything. but then, I have a cast iron stomach, and have never noticed much problems digesting ANYTHING...so maybe it's just me.

I think it works either way. When I don't think about it, the possibility of having a LD increases. When I can only think about lucid dreaming one day, the possibility of having a LD increases too.
      Sure, why not?

Well, all I know is I had THREE LDs in the past three days, which is unusual for me, and here's what I did:

-went to bed late (midnight-one o clock)
-woke up in the morning, drank some water, and went back to sleep for a few more hours
-didn't eat anything within a few hours of going to bed
-tried not to think about LDing and instead focused on what I wanted to dream about (after I prayed, of course)

Well, yeah, dreams are weird. One time I wanted to just remember my dreams (because I didn't remember my dreams for a few days). I did, and I got a bonus LD too.
