I heard that sometimes people hallucinate whilst trying to WILD. Well, a few nights ago when I was trying to get to sleep normally, I definitely heard a woman whisper my name into my right ear - it then sounded as if she was dropping something wooden onto a wooden surface such as a floor..

The thing that shocked me was just how realistic it was.. whereas people WILDing are told just to 'go with the flow', that really freaked me out!

Could this have happened, or am I just insane? (lol)

I had just done the relaxation techniques, mental preparation etc. (Although to be honest I still haven't become lucid)..

Which brings me onto another quick thing - it sounds strange, but I think that I dreamt that I was lucid, only for a minute!

I don't really know what to tell you about the first part of your post. As for dreaming that you were lucid in a dream, I think I've had that experience as well. The problem is that it's hard to know what's what. Where you actually lucid? Or dreaming you were lucid?

I honestly don't know. It felt like I had control and that I could do anything that I wanted if I felt like it.. but it only lasted for a second and there was no way that I could have done anything..

Hi,
That usually happens to me when I'm very tired and sleepy, but for some reason still awake. I hear different things, mostly doors slamming and guns fired, loud things like that which spring me wide awake. Could it be Hypogognic sound (spelling?) ?

yea dont worry about the voices, its just the hallucinations. im sure youve heard someones voice before when youve gone to sleep really tired. it doesnt happen to me that often but its totally normal especially if you wild. as for the dream i also know what you mean and if you would have done a rc when you thought you were lucid you probally wouldve had control.

later.

Well the thing is. Your Dreams, all of them are big big hallucinations. And yes they're Terrifying for being so brutally realistic. My idea is that while WILDing you don't experience ANYTHING ELSE than what you would experience basically EVERY NIGHT when falling asleep. The thing is while WILDing you're CONSCIOUS enough to experience and remember it clearly, which you otherwise wouldn't have. That's why it can become a tid bit Scary, even full blown paranoid.

Mind you the Dream Reality isn't by any means a ''fake one'' or an emilated one of the ''REAL one'' I really understood, after a couple of near-WILD and other Lucid Experiences, that the Dreamworld only lacks LOGICS and SENSE, but is Just as, if not MORE SO realistic than Waking Life itself. Think of it. What does the DreamReality have that is there in waking reality too? Ever felt Fear, Happyness, Darkness, Light, Bizarre Scenery, An infinite Database of Sounds and Visions, Even the very feeling of an Orgasm. It's all SOOOO EASY for your own Mind to Re-create.

It does so with a 1000 times more conviction than waking life.
And yeah it can be rather breathtaking and sometimes very freaky when you become aware of the fact that your EVERYTHING is all Fabricated in your own Mind and stands loose from what we know as ''Reality''

Yeah the LAST thing you need when Tripping hard: people constantly asking if you're okay.
Tripping on what may I ask? I remember some Mushroom trips were really close to a waking DreamState. And yeah I have mastered the art of Calm Abiding, Staying calm and detached from the ''Ego'' in peace. Not being worried or stressed in any way about whatever is happening to you. Just going with the flow.

I wish I could use this same art in lucid Dreaming, but the problem is the deep comatic state that comes before the REM-state, the Dreaming Sleep always whipes me out completely.

I have never given WBTB+WILD a serious chance so I will soon. And in combination with DreamHerbs too.
I'll post results of Dreamherb experiments in the therefor created Topic I made.

I've hallucinated as well with WILDing. I don't think anything has ever freaked me out so much because i didn't realise what was happening.

I have a reoccurring hallucination of a massive black shadow beast (I call the Black Hippo for kicks) running around me, and making the ground shake. I can SEE it, FEEL it, and the sound it makes is deafening. And the whole time, i am awake, in my bed.

But upon further reading and experience, I think this is actually just a greater awareness of the first stages of sleep. During these stages i think i'm still awake but i'm actually half half. Dream sensations get chopped with reality, and the line can be fuzzy.

So I too learned that the best way really is just to "go with it". Its fucking scary, but it means you're close.

. . . Or it could be something totally paranormal tetering on the border of our reality and we can only see it when we have totally exhausted our physical state. . . you never know
