I agree with RetepNamenots, there is no best technique. The best thing to do is figure out what technique works best for you, and then keep doing that. My favourite technique is just DILD with RCs. However, I'm training to learn WILD. |

Sure, why not?

WILD is considered by most LDers to be the "best technique" because it lets you have LDs at will, but it is not necessarily the "best technique to follow" because it can take weeks/months of practice. Critical state testing is generally considered the easiest technique that yields results. Like WILD, MILD has a very high success rate (especially when combined with WBTB, which isn't really a powerful induction technique by itself), and it really shines in its ability to induce multiple LDs in a single night's sleep. FILD is a form of WILD (in that you fall asleep while retaining your consciousness), but it is less surefire for most people than the more mainstream techniques. HILD obviously is only for people who are highly susceptible to hypnosis, although autosuggestion and confident affirmations can aid in achieving lucidity for most people. Try all the techniques and see what works best for you. As RetepNamenots (StonemanPeter? |

Yes. There are many techniques and many variables to each of those because we all interpret things differently. |
