I decided to take a break from Dreamviews for a while just to see how it would effect my dreaming and I noticed my recall gradually getting worse and worse; until recently. Recently I've had a lot of decently vivid dreams and my guess is because I'm on break and have had a lot of stress relief from school.

In many of my dreams I've been in water, usually a river or large enclosed body of water. Every time I've gone underwater while in a dream I noticed that I can see much clearer than I would in real life. If this is the case for most everyone else I think it would be a reliable, but impractical, reality check.

      What do you guys think?

It will proabably work, but it can be useful only if you go under water a lot in your dreams, or in waking life.

Firstly you require water, which probably wouldnt pop up in dreams very often, even for someone like a professional swimmer. A good reality check tech is one that you can do anytime, possibly that you can practice during your waking life to make it habit.

I tested the pull finger back RC in an LD I had last night, and it worked very well. I tried it several times during the dream, whenever I wanted to make sure I am dreaming, and everytime I could pull it much further than is possible in waking life, so my conclusion is that - at least for me - this is a good RC.

Water is actually a very common dream inclusion. The most important thing is to reinforce the idea (and intention) that you will do an RC whenever you see, or are in, a body of water. Personally, I've been failing that one a lot lately.

Okay so it wasn't a dream after all...
Staying awake to chase a dream...

I worded that wrong, I meant actually BEING underwater wouldnt be a very common dream occurrence RCing when you see a body of water in general - could probably work well.

oops, I thought I made this post in this thread, hence the irrelevancy.

Yeah I've found that I can make myself see as clearly as I want in my dreams when I'm near lucid.
