I just recently was told by a member here who's very good at WILDing to lay on my back, so I did that this morning for about 45 minutes, it wasn't all that comftorbal, and I failed which was kind of expected, I went to sleep and had a dream about wilding on my side, I have had these dreams before, my question is should I listen to my dream is it telling me I should WILD on my side, or should I keep WILDing on my back since I heard SP comes better, the thing I'm worried about is I never sleep on my back so maybe my mind has trouble puting me to sleep that way, if thats not an issue I think I'd perfer WILDing on my back, I mean it's probably not any more comforting to WILD on my side.

Also if your good at WILDing what position do you WILD with and what do you normaly sleep with.

I've never had a successful WILD, but I usually try it on my back or right side. I tried last night before sleep on my side and got really far. I started having vibrations in my legs and I couldn't feel my body after a while, but the visuals never really came. I think the key is just to get in a really comfortable position and DON'T MOVE.

As stated by funkstrman, do not move whatsoever. It helps you lose sense of your physical body, and can be quite similar to meditation =) I personally lay on my back -- it's easier to refrain from moving this way, as all of my body is just resting on the bed itself -- compared to when you are laying on you're side, where one side of your body is putting pressure on the bottom side.

I would try laying on your back a few more times. Post your results if you do this -- I'd be interested to hear how changing one's normal sleep position would effect their success at WILDing.

Best luck to you! hail WILD

My lucid experience is somewhat limited and sleep paralysis is something that will immediately send me into a lucid dream, in the past month I've been in SP 4 times and each of those times I immediately became lucid but woke up literally seconds later =\

however, on dec. 30th I had my best lucid where I woke up and went back to bed convincing myself I was going to have a lucid dream... I was extremely tired and as I was laying on my side (since im like you I dont sleep on my back, almost always on my side) and I felt myself enter a deeper state of sleep and then hit SP and immediately became lucid. Didn't see any HI but I literally felt myself falling deeper into sleep till I hit SP and had my best lucid which lasted a helluva lot more than 5 seconds so I was pleased

Now my WILD experience is very limited and this was an unintentional WILD but it still happened.. Just thought i'd share my story since it occurred while I was lying on my side and not my back (the times I have tried WILDing on my back I feel like its harder to go to sleep)

i tried the whole wild on your back thing and it was really hard. it was much easier to find a comfortble position and wild from there than to try to stick it out on my back. also dont try to move during your wild, but if you have to its alright. ive moved through some of my successful wilds. im not that experienced but i hope it helps
