a WILD can take anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour. Well 20 min being the shortest time I've had, and 1 hour being the longet. But don't worry if it's shorter/longer it varies from person to person

I don't WILD, but I heard similar stats. GENERALLY, from 20-1 hour. But this guy I said said he once waited 3 hours to become in the dream (but that was the best WILD hes ever had).

I made my first, serious attempt at WILDing a few nights ago and it took me around 35 minutes to reach sleep paralysis. Then, I watched the inside of my eyes while counting my breaths for another 30 minutes, but I never reached a dream. I didn't notice any increasingly vivid HI, either... just the usual, dim worms of light.

Unfortunately, I opened my eyes thinking that I was in a dream, and I'd just be opening my 'dream eyes'.

      I probably should've waited longer...

      Nice Pastro, that's fast.
Last night when I attempted WILD, I was probably in SP in around 15-20 minutes, as well. However, I waited another hour in that stage and never made it into a dream.

I kept having trouble with my eyes... I didn't know whether to actually focus my physical eyes or my mind's eye on the HI. Also, nearing the end of my attempt, which was about an hour and fifteen minutes long, I felt a soft pressure on the left side of my head, like an object was there.

Also, my eyes, in the end of the attempt, started blinking a lot and had trouble staying closed-- I opened my eyes thinking that I had shifted into the dreamworld only to find failure.

      Any ideas?

Edit; Also, whenever I focused on any HI with my physical eyes, my eyelids kept forcing themselves down, like blinking with your eyes closed. Doing this would make the HI go away, and I'd have to start focusing somewhere else to see HI, but then the same thing would happen.

I don't have any advice for you about that because I never see HI. I do have a question, though. Is it okay to swallow when trying WILD. Last night, I tried to WILD for an hour using the concentration method. All that I could think about was if swallowing was affecting my WILD effort. I was also very warm under my sheets, so after an hour I moved around and opened my eyes. My body felt very stiff, and my eyes were hard to open, so I think I got somewhere.

The one time that I WILDed was on accident and it resulted in my first LD. I think that it took me about an hour.

Swallowing is okay. If your body really needs to swallow, it'll do it on its own, so don't worry about it. When I'm in SP, I think I need to swallow and my body ends up doing it for me anyways, so it's good.

Since your body was stiff, you were definitely in sleep paralysis.
