      1st WILD attempt

well i went to sleep for 5 hours about then stayed awake for about 40 minutes (at about 10) drank 1 dnl for caffiene

it was about 11 30 am when i started (that could be one of my problems

my main problems were wanting to swallow and trying to keep my eyes closed i kept wanting to open my eyes cuz i was trying to see stuff with my eyes pointed upward

is there anything to help my eyes stay closed better?

will doing this mess up the process?

also i had one very vivid picture i dont know if it was hypnotic but it looked more real than any picture i can create in my head

it was the same picture or very similar flickering

how long does it take to start seeing hypnotic images cuz for me it was about 20-40 minutes and i only saw one and i also saw some wave type stuff but couldnt tell if that was it

i also was in a daze for a 1-2 hours after i stopped trying which was wierd cuz i didnt fell anything wierd besides seeing the vivid picture and my hands going to a wierd numbness

i dont know how to keep my eyes closed

i have a few cracks of light in my room from the streetlight that shines through my window im not sure if im just seeing the light through my eyelids or actually opening my eyes to look at the light while im laying still

anyways i tried to see the hypnotic imagery last night even though i had not gone to sleep

i stayed pretty still for about 30 minutes and saw some scene of a bus then i saw these patternish blob things but it kinda came and went a few times then i opened my eyes and moved around

my back was pretty comfortable it feels like theres less pressure

when i moved a few times i changed to on my stomach and put a pillow on my head to block out other light

im not very experienced with WILDs, but i have experimented falling asleep consciously... your eyes going up in your head is normal (at least it is what happens to me). my eyes almost start to roll back in my head and that helps me see the pictures. dont worry about your eyes too much, they should stay closed if you focus on the images.

the swallowing thing gets me too. just concentrate on your breathing or keep thinking about lucid dreaming and it shouldn't become too much of a bother.

my main problem is when i start to see clear images i try to focus on them too hard then i lose them. it usually takes me around 10 mins or so before i start seeing images, not clear ones but they areimages nonetheless... could take longer or shorter for others though

basically just focus but dont focus too hard, if that makes sense

i can usually kinda make myself tingle and see wierd images

they are more like really clear pictures
then im like ok this must be HI and i feel tingly but it doesnt feel like my body is falling asleep because i can still hear stuff going on outside and occasionally i will hear a bee buzzing or somekinda noise

even though i havent slept yet

how long would it take to get into a dream if your just going to sleep for the first time

Don't worry about swallowing, do everything you can to remain comfortable.

One thing I have found is that a lighted room really causes problems. Is it possible to adjust your schedule so that it is darker when you try?

the swallowing problem is a huge dilemma for me as well..it affects about 50% of my attempts and i have found that a glass of water 5 minutes before going to bed with another glass of water on ur bedside table or whatever is a big help......
also the position your head is tilted at affects it as well...to hgh up and the problem becomes worse...so sometimes i use 1 pillow or just lie further down, maybe you might want to try any of those ideas....it helped me maybe it might help you

with the closing your eyes thing its best to get rid of the light,,,i also have the same problem with the not knowing if you can see through ur eyes or if its ur eyes open..because i always open them and see my modem/router lights blinking.......the best method for this ive found is to concentrate on lucid dreaming or to lower your concentration and relax more.....like other members have said ^

good luk on your attempts anyway mate

      ugh

ok so i tried it again today at 7 45

this time i think i had real hypnotic imagery instead of just seeing a clear picture

it was like these lights were on my eyeballs kinda and they were colored and circular and my eyes started to like twitch and they were like pulsing bigger and smaller for a while

then i saw a crack of light and it messed me up

i think i will get better results if i try it at night

it was a small crack of light coming from opening in the cover of my eyes

anyways it messed up my concentration and i gave up because the imagery had stopped

did my description of what i saw sound like hypnotic imagery?

Does anyone here use WinAmp for their MP3's and has the AVS studio with it? (advanced visualisation studio).
I'm thinking of making a AVS preset that looks like hypnagogic imagery heh
