I've been in a bit of a rut, but I'm remembering like 3 dreams a night, 4 last night, so I'm pretty stoked about that, anyway - I try WILDing every once in a while around 5 in the morning, and one time I think I experienced SP. Does it just feel like you're numb? Or was I just lying on my arm? I also saw this flash of sparkles with my eyes closed, which was cool, but anyway, does SP feel like the circulation has been cut off from your body, or no?

I feel pins and needles, numbness. Apparently it's the start of SP

SP really is paralysis, at least in my case. I don't claim to be an expert, as I haven't actually WILDed yet, but I've experienced SP a few times, and every time I literally could NOT move at all, even if I tried. I had a little voluntary control of my breathing and tongue, but nothing else.

That feeling of not being able to move without effort is deep relaxation I think, which means you're on the right track! For me, it depends on sleeping position. I can only SP while lying on my stomach for some reason. Believe me, though; you'll know when you're in SP! It sounds like you're getting close.

That's interesting, I only get SP while sleeping on my back.

Sleep paralysis is a complete cut off from the world around you. The feelings you get in sleep paralysis are not actual physical feelings most of the time (sometimes you feel pins and needles, but it's not because your cutting off blood circulation)

I've felt during sleep paralysis before

- Like I was a giant heart beating incredibly hard and fast (only felt this twice - most intense feeling I've ever felt in my life)
- Like a million butterflies were fluttering inside of me
- Pins and needles (can actually get painful sometimes to me)
- Pins and needles in the form of burning
- Swaying side to side (picture a feather falling, and see how it sways as it falls - that's how I felt)
- Fuzzy electric jolting through me
- Fuzzy electric flowing throught me (pleasant and now common feeling)
- Freefalling and accelerating forward
- Bed spins
- A feeling of floatiness (feel this most of the time)
- A feeling of being crushed and strangled (this was before I found out about this website and was afraid of SP)

There's more... but overall I usually feel slight bed spinning at first, followed immediatly by a feeling of somekind of fuzzy electricity flowing through me, followed by a sense of free falling (only sometimes) which is followed by (and only sometimes) some weird but cool hallucinations of my room. As the fuzzy electric feeling gets more and more powerful, I start to feel lighter and lighter. And then the everything will eventually just stop - just sort of die, and I'll feel like I am floating inside of a black void of nothingness. Then my dreamscape will slowly form around me. It's sort of like, I'll see bits and peices of it, and then it'll all just come at once.

I love WILDs
