What is 'The Open Your Eyes Method'?

Simple! As you lay in bed and are drifting off to sleep (either WBTB or a Nap or etc) or attempting a WILD, simply Open Your eEes for a few seconds Periodically, then close them again and continue to drift off.

It's important not to open them long enough to be 'awakened' from your drifting off state. Open your eyes for just the right amount of time to keep you in a progressively drifting into dreamland state. Use your intuition.

This sounds similar to the "reverse blinking" method - a search will bring the thread up.

Ah yes it is quite like Reverse Blinking. But Longer than a Blink...but not a stare.

This morning I started this and I decided instead of going back to sleep at 6:30 that I'd get up. So I have no experience yet with this.

I mean I havn't had the chance to experience if it induces lucidity effectively or not.

I did note that after several times of Opening my Eyes, I would go back into that Drifting state in a more conscious way.
