Thanks freefire, I didnt bother trying to WILD last night, but had a DILD anyways. When i awoke from the first DILD and went back to sleep, it seemed only an instant after i fell back into the dream, i did a reality check and found myself lucid again. Not sure at this point if it was Wake induced, and i told myself to rc, or just a coincidence (was sort of half asleep the whole time, cant remember quite what happened), all i remember is checking to see if i was in SP and then falling back into the dream. Do you usually rc when you WILD just to make sure ur dreaming?

My problem is with HI. If I let it come, it sucks me in a I fall asleep really quick. If I don't let it come, then I stay awake. What do you do with HI?

I have the same problem eggbert. There is a post by blade5x earlier in this forum with a link to a site that explains how to WILD and what to do when you get HI. Check it out.

I have a rather strange technique for WILDs. Everything I've read here says you have to get up and do something before attempting it, else you'll fall back into sleep without realizing it. I've never found this to be the case; I simply shut off my alarm and close my eyes and just think repeatedly about "relaxing." Sooner or later (usually sooner), I get this detatched feeling from my body. It's cool, it feels like all I have is my mind, no connection to my body. I guess this is the SP stage, but I don't know, because I can always move my body if I actually try, I've never felt "paralyzed," just sorta a completely detatched feeling from my body. At this point, I think, "All right, if I just relax and stay calm, I'll be in an LD." Then vibrations will start, and for me this feels like a weird type of intense pressure in my head along with ringing in my ears. Sometimes my teeth will feel clenched. Then after, oh, 10-15 seconds, I usually get some HI, such as sliding off my bed, strange noises, or (rarely) weird light patterns. Then all this stops, and I know I'm in the dream, so I open my eyes. Ta-da. I've used it to great effect, I once had 4 WILDs in a night.

Now if I could only stabilize them every time without something scary/weird waking me up before I can...
      La dee da
