Lately i've been almost ready to give up on lucid dreaming. I have been trying now for over 2 months and still have yet to have my first lucid.

My recall is pretty good, i have up and down days but overall its decent, and I have been working extremely hard on it.

      Any advice would be appreciated.

Ah, there are reasons behind that, many really. It could be because of your daily diet, stress build ups, using faulty RCs, not trying to find your Dream signs via Dream journal, etc.

Though even if none of those are the case, doubt and frustration can block LDs, which, from your post, could be it since you've never had a LD before, you really want to, you've been trying to patiently attain lucidity, and here are other people who've had LDs that you've read about here or there and it's making you sick with fury because you're eager and when people are eager patience is harder and harder to keep in hand.

My advice for you is try melatonin, if you have and it hasn't worked, stay off of it, because if used often it'll kill your dream recall and makes it harder to have a LD.

Also, start a Dream journal, now. It will make dream signs apparent to you which actually does make people lucid, it takes no constant practice like pinching your nose every few minutes, just memory. When you don't have to look into your dream journal to check to see if something is a dream sign, that's a good sign that means you'll remember that dream sign in your sleep. I'll be willing to help you find some of your dream signs for you if you want since sometimes others can spot signs you'd over look [and I have a lot of free time too so it wouldn't bother me]. Plus, dream journals help put your dream recall into good use and can help improve it too.

[Sorry for the ube long post and I'm sorrier if it sounds harsh in anyway, it's just the way type]

hey thank you SOO much for typing all that, it was really helpful.

Anyways, i've been keeping a dream journal for about 2 months now also. I have about 16 pages of word typed up of dreams. I tried to catalogue my dream signs the other day but the problem is they aren't very consisent and i'm not sure if they will work.
But I think you are right, the problem is just frustration and doubt.

      Anyways thank you so much!!

Any time, I've learned though that with dreamsigns, they can be random and won't be in every dream, like for me, I don't always dream of apples or Digimon [but oddly enough they are dreamsigns]. From what I here some people have dozens of different dreamsigns so I'm sure more will pop out to you at some point in time.

well I know some of mine are, Seeing old friends and relatives, seeing snakes, and sometimes breathing underwater.

But I'm not exactly sure how to use those.

I think you just really need to remember what your dream signs are to the point where a bit of those dream signs can be recognized sub-consciously, you know like with habits, they become habits because you do them so often they become a natural and subconscious action or reaction [like me jumping when I see a mirror at the sides of my eyes, I jump even before it registers as a mirror in my conscious mind]
