the breathing/couting exercise has not produced very good results recently..

so a question. can i do a WILD by focusing on recreating my room in my imagination? will the "room" eventually become real? whenever i do the counts i end up staying awake for an hour with just a little SP and no HI

Yeah that used to be a pretty popular technique at one point here on the forums ("VILD", also "V-WILD")

instead of imagining your room you have to imagine one set object in your mind (a computer screen, a cup of water, etc) and eventually a dreamscape will build around it.
It's very important that your thoughts never stray from that one object (and also, you can't change the object mid-VILD)

Quite a few people had pretty good results doing this, not sure why it disappeared.

(PS. make sure you sleep before doing it though)

Hi, this method requires mental focus and I think dependant on mood also. I tried it before but later din't work because of shifted mood/attention...a rather delicate balance. Our minds are forever changing so it's difficult to get a lock on it... .

I know a guy who can do this V-WILD in a matter of secounds, it'd be a good idea to do V-WILD I came really close acouple of times.

The main things you need to do is think passivly and visualize without taking your focus off of it, you can simply practice focus by controling your mind through meditation.

I hope to master v-wild and do it during the day then post the exact steps I took to get there, ofcourse it invovles lots of control over your mind.

Eventualy your mind will just learn to bary its self in your visual thoughts, but yeah it's hard to tame your mind, because if you go off on another thought and try to bring yourself back it takes you straight back to the beginning.

I disogree with billy bob though Do not push your visualizations don't control them at all, if you try to control them by visulaizing your room it might make you not passive enough, you can start by visualizing your room though, but then let it flow.

Like no one ever was
To lucid dream is my real test
To control them is my cause
