Maybe you set a mind block on yourself? A lot of times, when you say "Grr....MILDs haven't been working...I can't do this." then you can't. You have to get over it and say "I can do this. I've done it before, I'll do it again tonight." and really believe it. Then you can do MILDs.
Keep in mind that no technique will work 100% of the time. And you could go through a dry spell, so just keep working through and you'll prevail.
If you really get frustrated with MILDs, try a different technique. Some work better for some people than others.
