Last night, in my dream, I was using my computer, and a message came up on the screen that said something like "are you dreaming?", and it reminded me to perform a reality check.

It was a really lucky incident because I had an amazing LD... but, do you think that sort of thing can be trained into the mind? To actually give you a verbal or visual, clear, non-cryptic reminder to RC when you dream? Because that would be incredible. I wonder how you'd go about doing it though. I could set up my computer to give me a message like that every hour, but that is the only time I can remember that I have dreamed I was on my computer.

      Thoughts are welcome!!

I think that if you set your computer to display a message every hour you will dream it sometime. Espesially if you work many hours with your PC. But you can not have any guaranty.

From my experience, I often dream things that are a routine in waking life. I consider these everyday actions dreamsigns so I RC everytime I m doing them. But this is still dreamsign that means encrypted.

Maybe if a popup in your screen "Are you dreaming" becomes routine for you, you will see it often in your dreams too. But I have my doupts couse I spend 6 hour per day in front of a PC and checking my dreamjournal there is more than a month from last time I dreamed of a PC. I don't know why is that. Maybe because in this action there is no much motion or interaction with other people. I dreamed about playing pool about 10 times this month for example -9ball is in my dayly routine. I remember that when I was playig chess I dreamed much about it.

Another idea could be to write in a piece of paper every hour or so the sentence "Am I dreaming?". Maybe eventually you get to dream about that often. But do an RC everytime you do it.
