      sleep?

      For best lucid dreams would it be better to be all rested up or to be really tired with not much sleep ?

      In my opinion I would have to go with being extremely tired with little sleep. Because that way when you do go to sleep you are sure to sleep longer than normal (if you are really tired) and your chances for lucidity should increase due to your lenghten REM periods from extensive sleep. Now go to bed! Oyasuminasi!~

      Well, I say it depends:

      I can be very well, rested, but take 6 mg melatonin and set my mind to sleeping . As a result, I can sleep 14-16 hours (with waking up every 2-3 hours). That's *a Lot* of dreams. Which means *more* chances of lucidity.


      At the same time, this weekend I had very little sleep, and was *extremely* tired. So when I went to bed, I had a really weird HI, an onset of WILD 5 min after going to bed, and I almost (?) entered it.
      Then I had sound and motion sensations (hallucinations?). I had at least 4 dreams, one of which ended up in me being slapped on the head in reality. And I had one great lucid dream.



      As a summary: sleep depriviation produces extraordinary and exotic results, but you shouldnt practice it often.

      If you have melatonin, it doesnt matter, as you can get as much sleep as you like.

      okay thanks for the help. Is that meltolain stuff healthy?? can you just go buy it in the stores?

      melatonin is natural hormone secreted by pineal gland. It's healthy and produces good results. There's tons of info on it around.

      Doubt it. You can certainly search some internet sites for addiction/habituation information. I cant help you much with it...
