      I think this is a repeat post but I couldn't find any of them. In my last two lucid dreams I didn't achieve good lucidity because my dream characters inhibited me. For instance, I tried to fly to break out of the situation that was going on and one of the dream characters grabbed me and pulled me back down. What is the best way to combat this do you think? Spinning? Focusing on a single point?

      omg, that same thing happened to me yesterday, but i managed to fly and get away for a bit, but some big black muscualr guy was chasing me and i wasn't lucid enough to remember to do dream spinning. stupid dream characters should just leave us alone!ha

      Ignore the DCs if they disrupt your first attempt, try that again. I wouldnt recommend hand to hand combat with DCs, it may get messy and wake you up.

      Even if your attempt fails, you may force it. Instead of just letting the DC pull you down, try flying even harder, but increase the intensity as a pulse, rather than gradually trying to fly harder. This "forcing" works very well with flying.

      Lol i was lucid lastnight and i was walking into my room to go sommon somone while being alone, my mom wouldnt stop yelling at me thru half the dream from downstairs lol. I obvousily ignored her becuase she wasnt real.

      I dont have enough control to "mute" anyone lol, or really control Dcs actions.

      Try it like in a movie I saw. Get a remote ( TV, Radio - as long as it has a mute button) and point it into someone.. Then push the mute button. In theory it should work. (you should believe it )

      Everytime you become lucid carry your favorite gun with you on those type of occasions. i carry one in every lucid. You know the rest of what to do.

      Maybe our mind is deliberately trying to stop us from controlling our dreams. Whenever I go lucid there is ALWAYS some kind of DC around that just stares at me. Dream spinning usually works to get away from them, it's like you go to a different part of the subconcious and your being searched for. I remember having a lucid dream where I was constantly being chased, lost lucidity on one of the dream-spins though so I didn't find out what happened.
