Well I usually wake up every dream i have, and sometimes i either MILD or do the Dream Re-Entry technique. But then I started waking up 2 times a night, sometimes none.
I developed a technique for waking me up which i saw on the Simpsons and tailored it to my individual needs.

Basically before i go to bed i drink 2 x 300ml glasses of water.
Now, if i go to bed at 10:30, and i drink 2 x 300ml glasses of water before bed i will wake up in the middle of a dream at about 12:00 <-> 12:30 and go to the toilet. So it wakes me in the middle of a dream 2 hours later, perfect!

I don't know if me drinking tea fairly often, say one cup every 1-2 hours, effects this or even made my waking up after dreams decrease. Some people say i have a weird reaction to tea/coffee, caffeine in general. It slows my thoughts and I'm actually able to concentrate a little better then usual, aswell as relaxing all my muscles and makes me fairly tired. The tiredness comes if i have say 4 cups in 4 hours, then I am so tired as soon as lay down to sleep I'm already asleep. It becomes almost a mild sedative. Orange Pekoe Tea does this most efficiently, as it doesn't make me as tired..

If i have a cup of tea, after the effects of the substances in tea wear off i'm back to normal and not tired and back to low concentration..

yea, i used to turn on my fan to wake me in the middle of the night by getting me cold, then i would wake and turn it off, allowing me to wake up from dreams later on.
I stomp on your ideas.
