So are you trying to WILD or DILD?

A lot of times with WILDs you easily lose focus if you're overly excited. It throws off your focus and the HI fades. You need to relax when you WILD. You focus and patience and when you get as excited as you're sounding it is hard to maintain both.

You didn't mention anything about reality checks. You need to do those because they'll be your biggest tool when trying to become lucid. Check your dream journal and try to figure out a few of your dream signs, then get into the habit of reality checking whenever you think about/come into contact with those objects or situations in real life. It will train your subconscious eventually to make it habitual.

Hope this helps you out. Good luck tonight!

what can you do to increase your chances of having a Lucid Dream...Just understand that each and every night that your going to go to sleep, you are going to dream..and be happy and looking forward to that..Look forward to where your dreams are going to take you...And stop trying so hard to have a Lucid Dream, because if you keep trying so hard, you will increase your chances of NOT having one.. Just relax, take it day by day, sooner or later it will come.

To have a lucid dream often takes time and perseverance. Some have an LD in a day, or a few weeks, others have to keep at it quite a while to get their first LD. For example, it took me a year and a half to have my first LD.

As far as I'm concerned, two months is not a "long time."

But, don't lose heart. If you work at it, with diligence and patience, there is no reason why you won't eventually succeed. Especially since you have the resources and people at Dream Views to help you.

That's life, and life can be harsh.

      But it's worth it.

Excellent advise from spiritofthewolf. Concentrate on getting a goods night sleep each night and remembering as many dreams as you can, because the more dreams you can remember, the more chances you will have to become lucid. By concentrating on what you can do, and improving on that, instead of trying so hard to do something that you are having a difficult time doing, you will remain more positive, and build a strong foundation from which the lucid dreams can begin occurring naturally.

Wait...so if I try to remember my dreams before I go to bed I will have a better chance of dreaming? Cool...

I am trying to have LDs for 1 year. The good news is that I had about 80 LDs. The sad news is that none was usefull, because I couldn't prevent premature awakening (I tried many methods, but after I become lucid, I awake).
I think that some unfortunates (like me) have to try more to have usefull results.
