ok, think i had sp last night, but it was strange. it was as if only half my body couldn't move. i could still move my arms/head, but i couldn't move my chest/legs, i know this because i tried. i thought when you get sp, it affects your whole body? also, i have heard quite a few people say they "roll" out of their body, after they are in sp. how exactly do you "roll" out of your body once you are in sp?

i am fairly certain i had sp, because when i tried to move my legs/chest, i got a strong tingling feeling but i couldn't actually move them much at all.

I would not be alarmed. Sleep paralysis is our bodies way of shutting down our motor shills why we are in REM so we do not physically act out our dreams. Sorry to be redundant if you know this.
SP exist because our (sleep mind) is slow at getting the message across that our motor skills are again active. There are variants to this, case in point why it happen in the first place. But at times the message gets to parts of your body slower than others.

hmm ok, that might explain the half paralyzed thing, but what about the rolling out of ya body part. i have heard people say they do that when wilding, i was wondering how they do it. if i knew how to do it, i could use it next time to become lucid maybe.

I've never 'rolled' out of my body during SP, so I'm awaiting a response aswell!

I've rolled out of my body in every SP episode I have had almost. I first did it by accident because I was freaked out and was trying to fight the monster I imagined was coming after me. I looked over on the couch and saw myself laying there still sleeping, but it didn't phase me too much because I was too concerned with the monster. At the time I didn't even know the connection between OBe's and SP and lucidity. Then I read on here about it afterwards and decided it was something I could probably use everytime. I guess you'd have to think of your real body and dream body as seperate bodies and then just roll it out of your real body while in SP just as if you were rolling your real body.It feels the same as rolling my real body when I am awake. I find it easier than trying to float out. They call it OBE or astral projection, but I just think of it as another lucid dream. The reason I know for a fact it's only another lucid dream is because my real body was not laying the way I perceived it in the dream and things in the room were a little different than in real life.Anyways, this method leads me to lucidity every time I've used it. Good luck with it.

Not your real body now, your dream body. Remember, you have to think of them as two different bodies and just roll on out. Yes, it should be pretty easy. Keep me posted how bout it? I'd like to know if it worked out for you.
