Having problems with WILDS. Am I doing something wrong?

I've been experimenting with WILD, but I've had little sucess. I do the coundting thin (one, I'm dreaming, two, I'm dreaming, three, I'm dreaming...) But no matter what, I always fall asleep. I'm I doing something wrong, or will it come with time? Thanks for the help.
And all my days are trances,
      And all my nightly dreams,
Are where thy dark eye glances,
      And where thy footstep gleams.

I don't like the counting technique, I feel it gets kind of automatic after a while

      Here is the uber tip:
Instead of staying focused, stay aware. Stay as if something was about to pop up from the ground and eat you. Pay attention to what happens around you and inside you.

Tell yourself that you won't fall asleep if you don't WILD, even if that means no sleep at all.

Finally, try to keep around 70% of the waking consciousness (thank Brandon Heat for this one)

This will get you oging, I promise ;D

It sometimes does take time to find your own WILD "rhythm".

It might help if you take a few swallows of a caffeinated drink/soda.. don't drink too much..
just drink enough to help "wake you up" a little bit.

Thanks for all the tips! I think I will try something other than the counting method.

I don't love the counting method either. It becomes automatic and I fall asleep. Daydreaming with the occasional "back to reality" moment helps keep a good balance and, double whammy, it can help you create your dreamscene.
      Control is Everything
      LD Count:33
      WILD:6, DILD:27, MILD:3
(At this point, I've completely lost count. Those are my last accurate stats.)
