Hello. I wanted to report some success using LaBerge's LD Induction cassette. I did not get lucid, but I did see signs of a possible successful technique if worked longer.

I'd wrote in my dream journal, now deleted, that I'd made up this idea of a method I called DMIST, Dream Meditation Induced something or other Technique, which on reflection was not really that different from MILD except I was sitting up

I at first thought I would 'meditate' on a dream from my journal and see myself becoming lucid in the dream and then visualize me dreaming what I wanted to dream. Thing is, after my period my dreams and recall become rather dark and less vivid and vauge. I'd started a topic on this phenomenon and then learned later that others had the same concerns and such. At any rate, I couldn't think of a dream to visualize myself becoming lucid in, nor a dream story for a new dream, and it was very hard to concentrate.

So I used LaBerge's cassette instead. If I could learn how I'd make an MP3 of it for you all. And as for the dream scenario I thought that since my creativity was low I'd just make a 'simple' task rather than a whole scenario. The task I settled on was to make Aragorn from the LOTR movies appear, poke him to see how solid, then step inside him and look at his hands through his eyes. Not sure why I thought of that but I did.

The first night I had recall but no lucid and then the next same thing. Then, this morning earlier Tuesday April 24th, 2007, I had some glimmer of hope. I was not lucid mind you, but a version of Aragorn did appear in my dream. Of course I forgot what I wanted to do, but the fact I recalled the dream and that he was there -even though he was Aragorn but did not look like Viggo but a guy I'd seen dressed up like him on an online costume shop click here to see picture I am refering to - was encouraging.

I'll try again this evening or whenever I sleep.
