I just discovered lucid dreaming not too long ago (vanilla sky&#33

i tried WILDing a few nights ago, and got pretty close. At first, i just breathed in and out, letting my mind picture rooms and places i know (my house, the gym i go to, etc) and suddenly i felt as though i was sinking into my bed... HOwever, i was too excited at the prospect of a lucid dream to stay relaxed.

      Any tips?
Oh, and was this close to me getting a ludic dream?

have you had an ld before? it doesnt sound like you have... WILDing is a really tough way to induce an ld. You have to be completely relaxed. And getting excited raises your awareness just a little too much it prevents you from getting into the dream.

My suggestion is to try to have a lucid dream with an easier method first. maybe DILD, VILD, or MILD? or a combination of a few?

however if you decide to stick with WILD my advice would be to always start with WBTB. try to find the time that you are very sleepy, but can stay aware. And even though it may be extremely difficult, you MUST relax.

hope you get your WILD soon!
