well, I have got rpetty close to WILD in the beggining of sleep, and I've never done WBTB before, so don't worry about it. eventually, you will mnage to do WILD
also, what may happen is that you have hallucinations out of REM period. Having dreams out of REM is impossible I guess.
your first dreams will usually start about 45 mins after you enter your first sleep paralysis (maybe less), and they will be short. vividness won't be a problem if you're lucid, though, but as I said, the small duration of the first REM can make your dream last little. taking serotonin before sleep can avoid problems with this, your REM will become faster and last longer
staying awake all night is theoretically possible, but it would be extremely hard. There are many key points in which you can doze off (entering SP, entering dream, exiting dream etc).. but, as i said, theoretically, it is possible, so go for it!
about resting in WILD. when you get into SP, your body is asleep. you won't feel any body discomfort if you WILD too much, but what may happen is that the lack of mind relaxation could give you some headache. nothing a nap can't fix though
about WILd when you're tired, it depends on hwo tired you are. If you have just done some uber physical exercise and your body longs for some sleep, then it will be esier. But if you just took a 3-hour-long math test, it will be harder
any other questions, I'm here lol
