      Is MILD 100% when done right?

      For all of you that practice the MILD technique, Whats the ratio of successful LDs to not.

      I really don't know how to do the MILD tech properly, but I think if it's done right it seems like a really powerful technique. Can anyone elaborate on how exactly you're supposed to "program" your mind to recognize you're dreaming? That part I don't get.
      WBTBs = 5
      DILDs = 17
      WILDs = 2
      DEILDs = 3
      MILDs = 12

      Total Lucid Dreams = 38
      Last LD = 02/21/08

      I think my method is pretty much the same as mild.
      I learned to do it, before reading anything about it.
      I am able to use it to become Lucid at will. It's just
      a matter of how often I stay focused on it.

      What I do, is I try and keep my mind alert all day long.
      I question everything that I am doing, And where I am,
      and who is around me, and what the people around me are doing.

      I try and stay alert for anything that is out of the normal.
      Wich in my dream's is pretty much everything.

      most of the time, just getting myself to wonder if I am dreaming,
      is enough to make me become Lucid.
      I have noticed that, once I start having two or more in a week.
      I will get used to the feeling of being in a dream, and it will
      start to get real easy to notice that I am dreaming.

      then I will start having two, to four, or more a night.
      I have had some nights where I was Lucid pretty much the whole night.

      I do not always notice the abnormal thing's, sometime's I
      will just suddenly know I am dreaming. Other time's it will
      take a little bit of thinking about it. I am currently also trying
      to do more reality check's as well.

      i practiced MILD for a little while, and ive had 2 lds with the technique, but i dont think that it can ever get 100% effectiveness (sorry dont know the ratio) Although when used right it can become a very powerful technique, the only technique that can become 100% is WILD because it goes straight from consiousness to dreaming. MILD has that unconsious gap that makes things alot harder.
      elaborate on how exactly you're supposed to "program" your mind to recognize you're dreaming? That part I don't get.
      Just make sure that recognizing you are dreaming is the last thing on your mind before you lose consiousness so your mind will be programed to look signs that you are dreaming.

      hope that helped ya
