      False Awakening

Ive been reading some old posts and read something about a False Awakening when on tha edge on falling asleep doing a WILD.

Is this when you first realize that you are asleep and dreaming ?

A false awakening is when you wake up inside of a dream, everything seems real and normal as though you had woken up. But some strange things happen, that's why it's a good idea to try a reality check everytime you "wake up" from trying a WILD. It may or may not be a false awakening

And they can be really annoying if you haven't made the habit of doing a reality check when waking.
Had one this morning, right after becoming lucid. Very Very Irritating.

let me explain this more thouroughly:

a false awakening is when the dream setting turns into the room that you are in; you think you just woke up, but you didn't. You are in a dream scenario that resembles what it would be like if you actually woke up.

I've had one of those before. Sad thing is, I realized I was dreaming, but I decided to wake up instead of go exploring or something like that. I kind of regret my choice.

I tend to have false awakenings when I'm supposed to be getting up and doing something. The worst one I had I "falsely" awoke 4 times!!!!

I wish I had thought about practicing RC's upon waking each morning a long time ago. Then whenever I had a false awakening, I'd have a big ol' nasty party!!!!!!!

I am soooooooooo slave to suggestion. I merely made a tiny insignificant post about false awakenings yesterday, and this morning I had a bunch of them! I always have like 3 or 4 in a row. It's so irritating.

The good news is at least I was able to attain a brief moment of lucidity on the last one. But it was more like, "Hmmmm, maybe this is another false awakening..." And then I awoke for real.

No fun...plus I was blind in them.
