Autosuggested Dream signs?

hey all, something that happened to me the last few nights prompted me to this idea: is it possible that if before going to sleep i repeat to myself: "i will see xxxxxx in my dreams" or "next time i see xxxx i will be dreaming"....so that im generating a dream sign. iv been trying to non-lucid on a specific character last few nights...and in-directly they appeared both nights. and if i choose something in reality then i can RC whenever i see it, and instant dream sign. does this sound possible?

A dream sign is usually something that reoccurs in your dreams, and probably did since you were a child, it's something that is of great significance to your subconcious. It could be a pink apple, or the even a Crucifix. From what iv'e heard, its just as simple to lucid dream than doing what you suggested. But! by all means, try it out, if it works for you, well BONUS! ( for you, I still can't get luciding. )

Hi, sounds like what I've been doing for the past months. U do need a significance like the way that item makes U feel....emotional for it to work properly. Incubating the dreamsign comes first then the RC. If U do both at the same time for me I see neither dreamsign nor RC.... Problem is that I keep changing dreamsigns..... Btw it worked for me once before....dremasign at will and then RC when I see it in the dream plus a few other close calls....so it works. IMJ

The first time i tried autosuggestion i told myself that i would go to pittsburgh in my dreams, and sure enough i did. I haven't really tried it again, since, I have been exploring the other methods, but i think i should go back to trying it.
