The transition between waking and sleeping is always unusual, when you're concious during it, there are many weird things that you may experience. This is normal, and there's no reason to worry about it. |

So I took a nap earlier on the couch. It was probably a good three hour nap. After an hour or so of sleeping, I felt myself starting to wake up. Instead of opening my eyes and moving my body, I said to myself 'hey, I think I should try lucid dreaming right now, remember, i'm aware of everything'. A few seconds after I said this, I felt myself slipping into sleep...and my eyes were going crazy in my head. My vision was starting to get pitch black, and all of a sudden my body jumped up. I was scared and stayed up for a few minutes, before going back to sleep, without being lucid. |

It sounds like you tried to Wild. A lot of weird eye movements would explain that. As for the jumping up, it could be a muscle spasm, an alteration of exploding head syndrome, etc. |
