      What do you think of this idea for becoming lucid?

      During the day, I try to do an RC and think to myself "I am dreaming." every time I walk through a door. It is difficult to remember but I have been working on it for a few days and it gets easier with time. Hopefully this will follow into a dream. The initial RC will start the process and the immediate "I am dreaming." will certify it. What do you think?

      Yes this should work eventually. I also strongly recommend reviewing your dream journal and identifying your dream sign(s). This really helps. For example, my main dream sign is having dreams where I'm with my peers in school or some other social situation. Now every time I am in this situation (real or dream) I question it. Works great.

      the social situation bit is a really good idea.

      I just recently discovered that my dreamsigns tend to be people I don't hang out with anymore. My issue is recognizing that this is an oddity and then performing an RC as a result. Will this get easier the more I focus on my dreamsign? Also my dreams haven't been terribly vivid. Upon recalling them they always feel fuzzy, I'm not sure what to make of that.

      I also dream about people I don't hang out with anymore, especially old friends from high school. I guess it just takes time to awaken your dreaming self to question the situation.
