Maintaining awareness without waking up too much..

I've been trying a combination of DEILD and FILD, unfortunately I keep falling back to sleep unconsciously. These methods do not work for me if I wake up too much.. Moving your fingers should be enough I suppose, I'm just looking for any other ideas.

      Hey

With DEILD, you shouldn't need to do a FILD or any other method. Most of the time (99&#37 you will just slip back into a dream without incident. Just lay completely still and wait for the (near-immediate) transition. If you have trouble remaining conscious in this situation, try concentrating on what you expect next. Consciousness maintenance should be easy.

If you really want to use FILD, just make sure your fingers are moving minimally, and that you pay attention to this event back-and-forth.

Ok.. I haven't been able to DEILD unless I'm coming out of a lucid dream. What I'm trying to do is remain in sleep paralysis while doing the FILD method. I made a hand alarm so that I can shut it off and hopefully still remain in sleep paralysis (similar to DEILD) and then do the FILD method if I don't remember my previous dream well. It hasn't been working well so far so I'm going to try and interrupt my sleep less often.

But thanks! I'll try and pay better attention to my finger movement.
