is my mind preventing me from LD?

As the title says, i've had some strange dreams that seemed to prevent me from realizing i'm dreaming:

      e.g.:
once i dreamed about a bum playing the guitar while i was sitting in restaurant... i enjoyed it but suddenly a waiter girl came out telling the bum to go away by saying "go away, we don't want any tourists (?) here"... i got confused (in the dream) and asked myself, why she said "tourists" although it was a bum, far from being a tourist... i wanted to ask her why she said that, but all of a sudden i was at a completely different place than before...

in another dream i vomitted on the floor in a room with lots of people. I'm sure they saw it, but they accused a bum (coincidence) standing next to me having done it... i wanted to ask why they were accusing him although they must have seen me vomitting... but suddenly the dreamscape changed and i couldn't ask anymore again...

now i suppose that my mind prevented me from realizing that i was dreaming... i hope it's not some type of a mind blockade or something...
however, i think that was really close from becoming lucid, right?

      Hi Stuetzl,

Your mind is in a constant state of creating a dream world and storyline for you when you're dreaming. Some see this as the mind trying to "trick" us into not becoming lucid, others see this as just a natural process of our minds going wild and keeping us busy.

One thing about being in a dream, is that all sense of rationality is usually suspended - anything is possible and nothing seems shocking. So, the fact that you started to question some of these strange occurences in your dreams shows that you were getting close to achieving lucidity.

      Keep at it

Yup I agree if you never question anything that happens in a dream most likely you will never become lucid. The mere fact that you questioned what was happening around is one of the first steps to gaining and becoming a Lucid Dreamer. The more you begin to questions things the higher your chances of becoming lucid in a dream will become keep doing what you are doing and you should be Lucid Dreaming here shortly.

It can be overcome by thinking differently. U could treat Ur waking life as the dream....UNTIL U do a RC to confiirm that it's NOT. And that knowledge of knowing that it's not a dream will last like 30min to an hour then U gradually sink back to believing Ur in a dream and then do another RC to confirm that Ur not and the cycles continues. So the possiblility that U are dreaming dominates the possibility that Ur not.

      i see...
However, i think this is very hard to realise. At least for the moment...

but just to get it right: you meant i should take the reality as a dream (in waking life) until i make an RC, in order to do the same in my dreams. Or am i wrong?

Basically do RC's in waking life and because you do them regularly (well if you choose to do them regularly) it should maybe be fed into your subconsciouss mind and then when in a dream you may do an RC and this will trigger lucidity, good luck though!
