      WILD step 5-6

This has happened to me about 4-5 times: I wake up early in the morning (usually not intentionally) and then I fall back asleep. When I do so, I remain concious of whats happening and enter a lucid-dream like state - I feel my body tingling, then it feels like I'm becoming detached from my body... so far so good.

And then what next? For some reason, I can never get past this stage. No matter what I do, I can't enter a vivid dream. At this point its more like dream paralysis: I'm concious but I can't move my physical body. I don't see any imagery. I've tried some of the stuff that people have suggested like spinning around with your eyes closed, only how can I spin around if I have no body to spin with >_< It says in Gestalt's WILD guide that the goal is to "step into" the dream and it takes a lot of patience, but if I just remain in that state without waking up, I always end up either: a) having a false awakening or b) losing my lucidity.

I feel like I'm almost there, but I can't get past this final step. If anyone has any suggestions, please help me!

Well, if you have a false awakening then you've successfuly completed the intent of WILD which is to be concious in a dream. Training yourself to RC whenever you wake up will allow you to take advantage of these FAs. In general, it sounds like your just not there when you give up. Stick with it a little longer in that state. You don't always get HI and the fading of SP can indicate a faliure OR a success. So, do an RC when it fades. You just might be surprised.
