I heard of this method. You get a recording or make on of someone saying "You are dreaming" or somthing of the like over and over again. The you listen to it while you sleep, the idea being, I assume, that you will hear it while you are dreaming and it will let you know you are dreaming. |

And all my days are trances,
And all my nightly dreams,
Are where thy dark eye glances,
And where thy footstep gleams.

This has been experimented with, yes. Some subjects said that it wasn't heard at all. Others said they heard it but ignored it. Some said that it woke them up. Finally, a small few actually became lucid as result. (source: Stephen LaBerge) |

Well, it all depends on how light/heavy of a sleeper you are. You have to strike a fine balance for it to work out. |
