      nothing works!!!!!!!!!!

I have been trying to lucid dream for a while now and nothing works? I used mugwort tea---nothing, I used Galantamine tabs with Choline with a supplement on the side of B5---nothing, I used B6--nothing, Subliminal CD---nothing, not even vivid dreams. I have ADD so I am unable to concentrate for long to use any good method. I used reality checks as well, looking at hands constantly, etc. I suffer from depression and this is a terrible blow for me as I reality wanted to do this for therapy reasons. Oh, well, I should have known this is the way it would be.

I have ADD and have been having lucids for years, so that's not really a stumbling block. I don't use any of the herbs or vitamins you mention, nor any subliminal techniques.

Are you keeping a dream journal? And how long have you been trying?

I have tried that as well. I have decent dream recall for the most part, jsut not very vivid and not lucid. Damn, I am useless, even in my dreams.

Well that attitude right there is what *I* think is holding you back from becoming Lucid. If you think your worthless and that it will never happen then your tricking your brain into really thinking it will never happen.

Instead spen all day thinking about how your going to become lucid that night. Consistently do reality checks and tell yourself that you will do this in your dream and you know your dreaming. But you have to really try and Believe that it's going to work and that your going to have fun.

A big part of LD'ing is about attitude and will power. If you keep that negative view on it, nothing will work.
Dreaming permits each and every one of us to be quietly and safely insane every night of our lives.

To deny may be just as dangerous and misleading as to accept.

Honestly I have. On day's that I felt good I would do exactly what you said and still nothing happens. I even tried the confidence method to no avail several times. Oh well. Sorry to bother you guys, and I appreciate your responses.

All of these things that you have been using, they seem like 'shortcut' methods, requiring little actual work. Have you tried MILD? If you have not, I recommend you do.

well thats the problem right there! you cant just do reality checks one day and expect everything to work out that night. You need to do them everyday! even when you feel like crap, or are busy at work, or having fun hanging out with your friends. You need to do reality checks and keep a dream journal every day! It might take awhile to see the effects of all that work, it could even take weeks, but when you do have that lucid dream, its going to be worth it! and they will start coming more frequently after. The first LD is always the hardest! good luck
