How are you suppose to step into a dream? the times where i have LD's (WILDING) i would all of a sudden fall asleep for a few seconds then wake up and hear all noises , see white flashed of light and strange body sensation then find myself lucid, is that the way "I" stepp into a dream?. Or is there somthing different?
I take this quote from another topic. Every reply to that post said "YES".

But that sounds more like unwillingly getting sucked in, as opposed to wilingly "stepping" in. If that is so, then all i need to do if i want to succeed a WILD, is enter SP and let the autopilot kick in while i contemplate the number of inhales and exhales that occured during the last minute ............ Right? That doesn't sound so hard, could someone please deny this so we can get back the status quo. (On the other hand could someone CONFIRM this, make me do an RC in disbelief and thus toss me a lucid dream )

It is sort of like getting sucked in, but it really isnt as easy as "enter SP and let the autopilot kick in while i contemplate the number of inhales and exhales that occured during the last minute." Read some of the tutorials on WILD, they contain all the info I could type here and more.

Well out of the 3 WILDs I've had,

1 was I had no HI or SP and was just in the dreamand knew instantly I was dreaming/WILDing etc.
2 I was watching random dreamscapes and suddenly I floated off my bed (sort of sucked in)
3 I was watching some sort of game/thing in egyption tombs then I realised I was looking at heavy HI scenes with sounds etc. Normally when I realise this it disappears... but it didn't. So I didn't just 'step in' I actually 'jumped in'! It's really hard to describe for someone who hasn't done it... when I first heard of jumping/stepping in I was like wtf? But then I just did~

So I think it really depends on the particular WILD because each one is different...

Ok, thanks, at least i cleared that up and everythings back to normal. Unfortunatley its still just like you say: when I hear of jumping/stepping in I am like wtf?
      Ah well, practice makes perfect.

From my limited experience, 1 WILD I had the HI I watched until it sort of wrapped around my eyes and became my actual surroundings, and in the 1 FILD I had, I just kind of followed the process and eventually I got sucked into a new place.

Although I get to a point in my WILD attempts where I dont know what to do, I get to the sleep paralysis stage (I think - I feel like im violently vibrating) and feel like im suddenly not in the real world anymore but somewhere else, but then i do an RC and im still awake. So I dunno, but I want to get some help with this also

For me it's usually jumping in instead of getting pulled in. Kind of like jumping off a moving train while scenes are forming all around you. It must be timed right, or else you'll be awake. As you get some success, you'll get better at knowing when the right time to jump is.
