Thread: i need a decent reality

I've always found that my hands look weird in some way in dreams, but I can't tell you what works for you personally.

I like to look at my digital watch and see if it changes and also look at my hands to see if they look weird. I don't usually RC during the day because I can tell if its a dream or not (havn't been wrong yet but if start to be I'll have to RC). I usually do RCs when I'm already lucid to see if they work.

well, my favorite is the nose reality check...

I usually shove my finger through my palm. It's a little hard though, the times it has worked I only got the tip through.

My fav way to rc is to pinch myself or bite my tounge. If I'm in a dream, It will either feel numb, or I won't feel it at all.

yeah im going to try that one, it seems to work for most of the people.

i might also try looking at my hands.

The way im becoming lucid by reality check is by manipulating it.

The way i do it :
Im 100% sure that i wear a medalion in my chest.. which in reality is not present. Which means im pretending by acting that im wearing it.
During my dreams the medalion is present, why? because you have acted that way during the day. You made your subconcious believe that there is a medalion. Once the medalion is present, it means that im dreaming.
So im manipulating my subconcious by making it believe that i have the medalion on me. It could be a ring or anything you want.

This method is very easy and works best for me.

Try and wake yourself up. If you do, you were defiantly dreaming =P

arby's method is definitely the best and most reliable.

Of course, you COULD always hope for a FA.

Yep the wacth rc is the best for me. But it depends on what type of person you are, it seems you tried the hand though cheast before? And if that fails you may want to avoid rc's that deal with your body. The wacth rc has never failed me but body rc's have. Finger though hand didn't work for me neither did tongue though mouth, even when I was lucid and tried the tongue though mouth I wasn't able to make it work. Some, most it seems, people can have sucess with body rc's but I don't and heard ppl on here complaing that various body rc's have failed but I never read of any faliure of the wacth rc, or at least theres not as many wacth rc faliures then there are body rc faliures.
