because if you follow those thoughts, you slip into non-lucid sleep, like I said before. But do you understand the process? You essentially do the same thing you do when you go to sleep, only you try to stay on a perfect state of inbetween asleep and awake. You want your body to sleep, but your mind to stay awake, but feel a "shift" in consciousness.
I think I understand the process perfectly I have had LD's before, and in my DEILD I went through a quick SP(I've actually tried that twice). Where I would hear this very loud noise, then feel my body being dragged off my bed like a ragdoll, then to feeling like being trown into the dream scene.
I understand what you mean with making a shift in consciousness It's a very weird feeling you get when your consciousness slips from the real world into the dream world, but as I said, I'm pretty sure I understand what you mean by that
As you said, it's all about finding the perfect balance between being aware and let yourself drag into a sleeping state. And that is exactly the balance I'm experimenting right now
