      First minor WILD attempt.

Well, first off the I'm happy to say that I fell asleep within minutes of getting in my bed. (It usually takes me hours to fall asleep)

I fell asleep around 12:00am something and had my clock set for 4:30am. When I woke up I knew it was time for WILD....problem is it didn't feel as if I just woke up from REM......it sounds stupid but I just "know" when I wake up from REM because it always seems as if the dream flashes right before my eyes.

Anyway I decided to try to WILD anyway, I guess within 10 minutes it didn't feel as if I had a body anymore, but I knew I could move it so I wasn't in SP yet. But I noticed that my breaths got REALLY shorter, as if I wasn't in control of them anymore, but I'm happy to say I didn't freak out, I went along with them. Also my heart started to beat REALLY fast, I just kept counting.

But then by accident I kinda took a deep breath and everything stopped. So what I wanna know is was I getting there? did I acheive some success? I don't remember any noises or HI though.....

Seems like you were getting somewhere. You're better than me. When I wake up then I just fall back asleep because if I try to WILD I get too tired and give up. Any results are good results. Keep trying and you'll get it. Yeah I usually take awhile to fall asleep too but also have some nights where I just lay down and next thing I know its morning.

Yep. Sounds like you were very very close to me. The short breaths thing...sounds like you were getting close to the transitional stage. I get really short, shallow breaths right before I phase into the dreamstate. Occasionally I accidentally "sigh inward" and take a deep breath. Usually you can't even help it, it just happens, but it does take you out of the experience normally, because you focus on it accidentally. You were close though, keep it up
