What I mean exactly is let's say I wanted to nap right now, how long would it take for me to get into SP? (I'm really tired) |

Actually, during naps and such, it take significantly less time for you to hit the REM cycles. That's why many people choose to WILD during naps, it's faster, and some say easier. |
|
Yeah.
But I don't nap for that long.....when I nap I wake up like an hour later. That's not enough time for a WILD I assume? |
|
Not everyone experiences Old Hag. |
|
AHHH I'm so confused about everything......I thought I couldn't reach SP during my nap because I assumed a person couldn't enter SP unless they were about to enter REM sleep. |

I think sleep paralysis is there although it depends on how strong it is. It just prevents you from acting out (ie swinging, kicking) in your dreams. I've entered lucids in short naps (45 min /hr.) although brief yes, but I dont always "feel" sleep paralysis which is the loss of control although it could be inplace. The Old Hag is that total frozen, paralyzed numbing feeling or presence etc. I think its a very well noticed sleep paralysis by the mind and seems more full blown than ever. |

Last night when I attempted WILD I thought I was close to SP because my breaths got slower...and it was like I wasn't in control of them anymore. Another thing is my heart started to beat REALLY fast. I didn't panic...I was just going along with it and it all stopped... |

Oh snap...that it is amazing, lol. |
