Can I achieve SP during a nap? (No WILD, just SP)

What I mean exactly is let's say I wanted to nap right now, how long would it take for me to get into SP? (I'm really tired)

I'm not talking about entering REM. (I know that takes 90 minutes) I just mean SP. I wanna see if I can experience it during a nap so I can finally see what it's like, and be prepared for it tonight.

I have another question, let's say I've done WBTB and I'm in SP, after it's done (or happening) and I can't move, what do I do next to enter a LD? Some guides say to roll.....but how can you roll if you're in SP? do they mean imagine rolling, like visualizing it?

If you're not talking about entering lucids then disregard the below:

There's allot of people on the fence about this but unless you like going numb, "Sleep Paralysis" is not required for Lucids. I dont think you should or need to (if possible) initiate. Usually SP = Deeper Sleep, DeepSleep = less control. Concentrate on the HI's and work on WILDS you'll achieve it allot quicker.

Actually, during naps and such, it take significantly less time for you to hit the REM cycles. That's why many people choose to WILD during naps, it's faster, and some say easier.
      Yeah.

But I don't nap for that long.....when I nap I wake up like an hour later. That's not enough time for a WILD I assume?

True, but for me there's never been good experience with SP so I dont want it. I sure as hell dont need it for lucids (thank god)

AHHH I'm so confused about everything......I thought I couldn't reach SP during my nap because I assumed a person couldn't enter SP unless they were about to enter REM sleep.

But then someone just informed me that you always enter SP.....so why the hell couldn't I do it?!?!...AHH

I think sleep paralysis is there although it depends on how strong it is. It just prevents you from acting out (ie swinging, kicking) in your dreams. I've entered lucids in short naps (45 min /hr.) although brief yes, but I dont always "feel" sleep paralysis which is the loss of control although it could be inplace. The Old Hag is that total frozen, paralyzed numbing feeling or presence etc. I think its a very well noticed sleep paralysis by the mind and seems more full blown than ever.

Last night when I attempted WILD I thought I was close to SP because my breaths got slower...and it was like I wasn't in control of them anymore. Another thing is my heart started to beat REALLY fast. I didn't panic...I was just going along with it and it all stopped...

I entered a WILD this morning at about 5 AM. I just focused on the HI's and entered the dream lucidly. It felt like it was as soon as I closed my eyes, really quite amazing.
