      Frustrated...

I am very frustrated because its very hard for me to lucid dream i realize i am beginning and that it is hard at first but i loose my motivation very easily! I was wondering if me being a very deep sleeper has anything to do with my problem. I have decent dream recall and have been keeping a dream journal for about a month now, the only lucid dream i have had was when i was drifting back to sleep and was thinking about it as i went to sleep and the second i began to dream i knew i was dreaming, i became over excited and lost control and in my dream i fell over and was holding on to a counter for support when i awoke i had physically jumped out of bed! Do most people ever get a consistent LD rate? I am just frustrated because the more i read on this forum the more i want to become lucid but continue to fail nightly! So any suggestions or comments would help!

Don't worry, practice makes perfect, I am sure you will succeed!

I don't think being a deep sleeper should affect anything unless you don't have good dream recall. Do you try WBTB? That, paired with another method, seems to work well for most people. Since you're just starting I would try maybe WBTB + MILD. My personal favorite method is just going to sleep, expecting to LD!

No I have not tried WBTB yet but my first lucid dream was induced by DEILD which i found out had an official name after i posted this and did not know that it was a technique. I am going to try this again hoping that it will work once again! I go to sleep every night expecting to LD, but i am disappointed every morning. Thanks for the advice and i will try WBTB + MILD. Again thanks for the advice!
