I think everyone WILDs can vary. I myself never get the SP everyone describes. I focus on the HI's (hypnogogic imagery) and visuals and they lead me directly into the dream. Not sure if this helps you in your case but it could give a different approach.

      Heya,

I have the same thing as Phoenelai. I've never experienced Sleep Paralysis. The few WILDs I've had were always by paying attention to hypnagogic imagery and visualizing things, trying to focus on all five senses, until they suddenly felt real and I was in a dream.

Additionally, this dream was never in my bedroom either. No such things such as awakening in your own body, opening your dream eyes, and all that. Instead I find myself thinking I'm still visualising stuff, until suddenly I noticed that I'm really feeling, really hearing things, and its no longer simply my imagination.

At that point I know I've crossed over into dreaming.

That's how it has worked for me in the past. Though as I said, I've only had a few WILDs, and I'm still practicing this myself.

Yeah my exact thoughts. Its like looking at a picture then stepping into the picture. It's really an amazing transformation. No wonder WILDS are so saught after.
