So Im Starting to get Frustrated

Basically, I can go into sleep paralysis at will. Ive even done it in the car once. Im sure that it is sleep paralysis becuase all of the sudden my limbs get really heavy and then they go numb. I cant feel my arms even though they are laying on top of eachother, its like they are just floating there. I can go into this stage seriously after like twenty-seconds to five minutes. Even if I just lay down for the first time that night. Problem is, after i get to that stage, I basically just sit there, unable to feel anything and think, "K...what now?" I usually count backwards from 100, I start to feel tired, and dizzy, but still nothing happens. I just remain numb. I tried it today for like an hour, and I never got past the SP. What do I need to do??

      to the forum!
It's not easy to get into a LD from SP, if you haven't already slept for a while. Try WBTB, and since you're good at getting into SP at will, you should be on your way in no time
Basically, your body goes through several stages of sleep before getting to REM sleep (where dreams occur). The first REM periods start 1-2 hours into sleep (I'm pretty sure that's the number). But the longest, best quality ones are after 5-6 hours, which is why WBTB is so helpful. WBTB means you wake yourself up for a few minutes during these longer REM periods, so that when you go back to sleep, you go pretty much directly back into REM.
I hope this helps you. Pretty soon you'll be PMing an admin and asking for a name change to Ialreadycanld

Thanks. What is WBTB though? I know it has something to do with sleeping first, but what does the acronym actually mean?

      Wake-Back-To-Bed. There's a tutorial about it... here.

Kay. Thanks. Ill try it tonight. I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to experience it though. It sounds amazing. Sadly, I've been trying for like a month and still no LD.

It took me almost two months. But now I'm having about 1-2 a month, steadily increasing. Good luck tonight
One thing... trying too hard can kill your attempts. If in a week or two, you still haven't had one, try stopping your attempts for a few days. Wanting it too much can be counter productive.

Are you RCing? That's an easy way to become lucid, I've had several LDs all from DILDs (RCing in a dream).

yeah, kind of frustrating isn't it. it took me longer than it took webmaster, i think it took a good 3 months before I actually started to ld, and even then it wasn't all that often. Just dont give up no matter how long it takes, trust me, any amount of time is worth it. (to me at least)
